Francis Forst Elected to Missouri Pork Association Board
Columbia, Mo.,—Francis Forst, with Synergy LLC, has been elected Southwest Region Director for the Missouri Pork Association Board of Directors for a three year term.
Forst is part owner and Missouri operations manager for Synergy LLC, a 9,000-sow farrow-to-finish operation. Synergy farrows and nurseries in Southwest Missouri, while the finishers are located in Iowa and Indiana. Francis is also owner/operator of Forst Farms, Inc., in Lamar, a cow/calf operation and contract hog nursery and finisher. He has worked with the Missouri Pork Association for the past two years to host local Lunch and Learn programs. He is a member of the Lamar Rotary Club and St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lamar.
Francis was raised on a grain and livestock farm southeast of Lamar in Richland Township.
The mission of the Missouri Pork Association is to enhance and optimize opportunities while eliminating or minimizing barriers for the success of Missouri pork producers and other industry stakeholders.
