Walt Swier Recognized for Service to the Missouri Pork Association
Columbia, Mo.,—Walt Swier, of Marshall, was recognized for his service as a board member of the Missouri Pork Association on February 11 at the 2009 Missouri Pork Expo’s Pork Industry Buffet in Columbia.
Swier served as Secretary and At Large Director from 2005 through 2008. He was the director of MFA swine operations / manager of MFA swine marketing network, and was with MFA Inc. from 1995 to 2008. Before that, he worked for Tyson Foods in Marshall, where he was involved with swine procurement and packing plant production procedures.
Swier has been involved in many county and state pork producer activities. He is past chairman of MPA’s allied committee and was a member of MPA’s membership committee.
“The Missouri Pork Association extends its gratitude to Walt for his commitment and service to our organization,” said Don Nikodim, executive vice president of the Missouri Pork Association.
